Book Review: A Cat’s Tale of the Holy Spirit by Dr. Fred Eichelman

Following A Cat’s Nativity Tale and A Cat’s Tale of the Resurrection, author Dr. Fred Eichelman has produced a another issue of this trilogy, A Cat’s Tale of the Holy Spirit, another warm and touching story about Chatool, Pip, and their new partner, Mary as they witness the phenomenon of Pentecost, the birth of the Church, the stoning of its first martyr, and a sampling of the fascinating adventures of both Peter and Paul. The artwork by Robin Medford is outstanding as is also the beautifully appropriate cover design by publisher Sandi Byrd Aldridge.

Dr. Eichelman is no stranger to the skill and passion for writing. As a student at Bridgewater College, he served as Editor in Chief of the BC Bee, the college newspaper. He has always been a fan of movies and has personally known an extensive list of stars, some of whom have served on his board of Point North, a publication dedicated to encouraging more faith and family type films and TV productions.

Fred and his wonderful wife, Carolyn, have a long history of over forty years of teaching and encouraging others to consider the arts as a career. Their annual Happy Trails Conference in the Roanoke-Salem, Virginia area has been a successful and popular event that draws fans from all over the nation. They come to view films, attend workshops, and interact with several actors, authors, and artists from the entertainment world. There are opportunities for fellowship, autographs, souvenirs, and a seat at a banquet and auction. All proceeds go to promote cancer research.

Dr. Fred and his wife are active members of CommUNITY Fellowship of Salem. Fred is loving, humble, and truly dedicated to the task he believes God has given to him. He is a veritable encyclopedia of past experiences, events, stories, and jokes. And obviously, he is a lover of cats. I highly recommend his latest offering for you and your children to enjoy. Will there be another book to follow? It is hinted there will be.
