Democrats Going Crazy Over Virginia Election Win(some)

I have to admit, the Republican sweep in Virginia is the most satisfying state election I have experienced in a long time. The GOP regained the Governorship, Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General and is very close in the House of Delegates. It doesn’t get much better than that. The last few weeks I have been cautiously optimistic but also a bit concerned that the Democrats would do anything to win, including challenging the election results or just happening to find a car trunk full of ballots to pull it out (this is what Al Franken, the misogynist, did in Minnesota many years ago). If the GOP had not won this, it may have been a generation before they were competitive again in statewide elections.

Oh, and this is delicious: a female black Republican, Winsome Sears, is now the Lieutenant Governor, and Attorney General, Jason Miyares, is Hispanic. Gee, I thought this election was all about ‘white supremacy’. Oops. I love it when the left has their race card shoved back in their face.

Several outlets are reporting that Glenn Youngkin sent the Lincoln Project a fruit basket thanking them for helping him to win.

Youngkin’s victory came by an incredible movement towards the GOP in normal blue strongholds when comparing with 2017 when Ralph Northam won:

Chesapeake: + 7
Prince William: + 8
Loudon: + 8
Fairfax: + 6
Hampton: + 6
Va. Beach: + 8

Other areas of interest: Youngkin got 54% of independents. Trump got 38% in 2020. In the issues category, the only one that favored McAuliffe was the covid pandemic and that was way down at 15% on the scale of concern. Jobs and education were the top 2 and Youngkin won both those easily (as I mentioned before, there was an 18 point swing to Youngkin after McAuliffe’s infamous gaffe). And guess what? Leaving Confederate statues in place won 51-42%. Go figure!

Hopefully future Republican candidates in Virginia will study Youngkin’s playbook and learn from it.

But Virginia wasn’t the only good news for Republicans. Pat Murphy came within a close shave of winning the New Jersey Governor’s race. The RCP polling average had Ciattarelli winning by 7.8.

Parents have had enough of CRT. The Republicans won many school board victories across the country – Virginia, Colorado,Kansas, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Minnesota.

And lo and behold, Minneapolis voted against replacing the police with a department of public safety (56-44). In a poll conducted in September, only 42% of blacks supported the measure. I am sure this will be a shock to the politicians, celebrities and media who live in their bubble world with hired security. But for folks in that city who saw the destruction caused by riots this was a matter of life and death.

So the Republicans had a good night across the board.

But enough about that. Let’s have fun seeing how the Democrats handled having their rear ends handed to them.

Poor Cher didn’t take it very well:

TOTAL POWER.ITS ‘WHITE’S’ ONLY CLUB, & BLM, LGBT, JEWS, ASIANS, MINORITIES, R IN PERIL.

HELD MY TONGUE,LONG ENOUGH,BUT FK IT:DO DEMS NEED A:house:2 FALL ON THER SISTERS,:bee:4 THEY C WHATS COMING

Awww. Bless her little heart. I guess no one told her that a black female was elected Lt. Governor. Oh, and a house did fall on your little leftist brigade. More from Cher:

JOE WORKS TIRELESSLY 2 WORK WITH CONG,& PASS BILLS 2 HELP EVERY DAY AMERICANS,& HE’S HIT FROM DEMS ON RIGHT,& LEFT.THEY CAUSE GRIDLOCK,WHILE GOP SIT & PLAN HOW2 PICK OUR BONES CLEAN IF WE FAIL. GOP ARE NAZI’S IN LOCKSTEP.ITS DIFFERENCE BETWEEN DEMOCRACY& DICTATORSHIP

Joe works tirelessly? LOL! Last one from Cher:

trump & HIS FLYING Monkey, HAVE ONLY 1 PURPOSE, THE DESTRUCTION OF THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY.” 2 TAKE EVERYTHING FROM THE POOR & INCONSEQUENTIAL,& GIVE 2BILLIONAIRES.IF GOP GET IN AGAIN THEY’LL BREAK RULES

THEY HAVEN’T YET BROKEN.WILL CATHOLICS BUDDHISTS be SAFE.WHO WILL JUDGE THEM trump

If we have only “one” purpose then there can’t be a #2. English was never her strong point. I think there’s a case to be made that Cher is a modern day version of James Joyce; he never bothered with punctuation or complete sentences either. But she is right about one thing – we would like to see the Democrat party totally crushed. Then maybe this country can get back on track.

Joy Reid chimed in with some superb intellectual analysis:

You have to be willing to vocalize that these Republicans are dangerous. That this isn’t a party that’s just another political party that disagrees with us on tax policy, that at this point, they’re dangerous. They’re dangerous to our national security because stoking at kind of soft white nationalism eventually leads to the hardcore stuff.”

Virginia’s new Lt. Governor, Winsome Sears, was having none of it:

I wish Joy Reid would invite me on her show — let’s see if she’s woman enough to do that — I’d go in a heartbeat and we’d have a real discussion without Joy speaking about me behind my back, if you will. [Reid] talks about white supremacy. Does she know that I ran against a white supremacist? I mean Joy come on. Get your facts straight and then come talk to me. I’m waiting for you.

Of course Joy Reid has no idea who Winsome ran against. That would actually require some research and independent thought. This is all about continuing the race hustle.

David Plouffe: “I will point out, Nicolle, you know, the banning of the books and the flag flying, as appalling as they were — and they got a lot of attention — but I think, in Virginia, Youngkin spent months spending millions of dollars running ads, more like he was a Romney Republican.”

Oh no! Flying Flags! It’s the end of the Republic as we know it! On the Romney comparison, Youngkin was never stupid enough to use the phrase “severe” conservative. Oh, and he won. Unlike Mittens.

Larry Sabato: “You may have the same view I have of — of critical race theory which is it was a phony issue. It certainly is in Virginia, where it isn’t taught. But people believe what they want to believe. You know, we’re still in the Trump-era, right? You don’t have to have the facts backing you up. If people want to believe what you say, they will believe it.”

Hey Larry – where were you during the whole Russian Hoax lie? It’s really amazing how the Trump-era has exposed people for the radical liberals they are.

Nicole Wallace: “I talked to a Washington strategist who said that the real turning point for the Youngkin side, when the “mo” really flipped and never came back, was when Terry McAuliffe made that comment at the debate about parents not having sort of — I’m not going to — I don’t want to misquote him. But the role that parents should play in education and curriculum that Youngkin jumped on that. Some might say he distorted it and exploited it.”

Hilarious. She won’t quote him because it totally eviscerates her point. But I will. Here is what McAuliffe said: ‘I don’t think parents should be telling schools what they should teach.” I found it in less than 2 minutes, Nicole.

I am sensing that the theme of the post-GOP victory is that we are all racists. Kirsten Powers said Youngkin used “dog whistle racism” in his campaign (a term the left has added to their template). Now that’s interesting. Aren’t dog whistles only heard by dogs? If that’s true, then why are progressives like her hearing racist dog whistles? Makes you wonder, doesn’t it?

While these comments are divisive, pathetic, and boldface lies, let them believe them. It means they aren’t addressing the real issues that brought about their spanking. I am looking forward to another one next year.

I will close with my favorite comment (so far) that I read on a discussion thread: “Democrats losing Virginia and possibly NJ makes me wonder if Joe’s nationwide shipping fiasco didn’t delay the pre-printed ballots from China.”

Now, wouldn’t that be ironic?
