Michael Ingmire: My Prayer For America
These are crucial times. We are being tested as Christians. Nefarious people are trying to obtain or retain power. We are in an immortal, good versus evil battle that will place America, and possibly the world, in danger if evil becomes even more directly subsidized.
Vice President Biden has been on the wrong side of every issue, from taxing Social Security benefits in 1983 to advising against taking out terrorists. When I see Joe Biden with a woman or child, they seem to be recoiling. That shrinking away behavior always gives me pause when evaluating a man or women’s character.
Referenced below was a social media response that started as a reply to a former entertainer, Bette Midler. I say former because, as I have written, I have failed to find Ms. Midler entertaining for quite some time now. That same disdain rings true with many entertainers. The lines of sin run deep on their faces. Bette Midler recently stated that there was a fascist currently in the White House and she was praying to God for Joe Biden to win.
My social media response to her post turned into a prayer. A prayer of Faith.
Pray for yourselves America, your family, friends and coworkers. I will say a succinct and sincere prayer for you also: I pray that God grants you the wisdom to vote wisely on November 3rd. Below is my prayer, written on October 29, 2020:
Dear God,
Lord you know my heart. I thank you that I was born in America to loving parents that always encouraged me. Thank you for all the blessings I have as an American. Please continue to protect me and mine. Please lift up this country, we need your love and protection. Open the eyes of those who do not read or see.
God, we are surrounded by foolish entertainers and celebrities that mock you. Lord, protect our ears and eyes from their inconsequential mutterings. I am fearful that they are casting spells on the unsuspecting and innocent children. Please silence their lying tongues and open their eyes to the truth.
God Almighty, we have a dishonest media that is covering up the crimes of a crooked politician running for the Presidency. He has never contributed anything positive to the fabric of our shared history. Keep him away from the Oval Office. Please open all people’s eyes so that they see that the media is the biggest enemy of the people. Reveal the contents of the ‘laptop from hell’.
Protect us from tyranny, Lord. Protect us from evil disguised as higher office. Protect us from these corrupt politicians and communists that want to destroy our great country. Lift the veil of lies and deceptions and let light shine on the truth. Fill us with hope and the courage to face all these hardships from this manifested pandemic. Lord shower us with your grace and love. All glory be to you God Almighty. I ask these things in Jesus name, Amen.
