Kenneth R. Timmerman: Welcome to the Banana Republic

It’s happening right in front of our eyes. We are about to get the Third World election the Democrats apparently have been seeking.
In Detroit, election officials papered over the windows of the main canvassing center after observers witnessed people bringing in boxes appearing to contain ballots in a red flyer wagon at 4 AM. With no Republican election observers allowed inside, Democrat officials could steal as many votes as they needed.
In Pennsylvania we learned on Thursday afternoon that Democrat officials were “privately” telling the Biden camp to expect to win the state by a margin of 100,000 to 200,000 votes, at a time when Trump still maintained a 100,000 vote lead. It helped, of course, when the state removed the requirement to compare the voter’s signature on the outer envelope of the ballot to the signature in the voter file. Who knows how many illegal ballots were counted in Philadelphia?
Also in Pennsylvania, a USPS whistleblower tells James O’Keefe at Project Veritas that his bosses issued a directive to back-date late received mail-ballots to Election Day so they would be accepted at canvassing centers as legitimate votes, even if they were mailed days later.
“They are trying to steal this election,” Eric Trump told an impromptu press conference in Philadelphia on Wednesday. “Guys, this is fraud.”
The Trump campaign is challenging the rule changes and the lack of fair access to canvassing centers in Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Nevada. And in Wisconsin, where the cemeteries of Milwaukee appear to have voted in the wee hours of the morning, Team Trump is demanding a recount.
Americans can have no confidence in the validity of mail-in ballots if poll-watchers cannot verify them. As former Nevada Attorney General Paul Laxalt said at a Thursday morning press conference for Team Trump in Las Vegas, some voters received “as many as 18 ballots sent to their residence.” Others were told they couldn’t vote when they showed up at the polls because their mail-in ballot had already been counted – even though they did not return one.
Trump campaign spokesman Ric Grenell said they had “publicly available information that non-residents have voted,” a reference to people who had moved out of the state or were long dead (not to illegal aliens). “It is unacceptable in this country to have illegal votes counted,” Grenell said, because it creates the impression that “the system is corrupt.”
President Trump has been warning about mail-in ballots for months, saying they are an invitation to fraud. And while his complaints were mocked by the media, few developed countries outside of the U.S. allow them at all.
Here is John Lott of the Crime Prevention Research Center, known to many for his cogent analysis of the impact of gun control laws on violent crime.
“If concern about vote fraud with mail-in ballots is delusional, it is a delusion that is shared by most of the world. Even the countries that allow mail-in ballots have protections, such as government-issued photo-IDs. But Americans are constantly assured even this step is completely unnecessary. Without basic precautions, our elections are on course to become the laughing stock of the developed world.”
In this same study, published in August, he noted that “France banned absentee voting in 1975 because of massive fraud in Corsica, where postal ballots were stolen or bought and voters cast multiple votes. Mail-in ballots were used to cast the votes of dead people. [For examples of mail-in ballot fraud in other countries.” Lott’s report is here.
And then there’s the whole issue of voter turnout. As John Hinderaker at the PowerLine blog explains, Wisconsin had 3,684,726 registered voters going into the election, and 3,250,549 are said to have voted. “That would give Wisconsin a turnout of 88%. According to Ballotpedia, no America state in the period 2002-2018 has ever achieved a turnout rate of 80!% or higher.”
The city of Milwaukee had a turnout of 83.7%, according to the county’s elections website. And a detailed breakdown by the Milwaukee City Wire found that three city wards had turnout over 90%, and 25 had turnout over 85%.
Trump was ahead by a comfortable margin all through election night. Then suddenly, shortly before 5 AM, a huge influx of Biden votes suddenly appeared, taking him over the top.
A similar influx of Biden votes suddenly appeared in Fulton County, Georgia, overnight as well, after election officials told GOP observers to go home because they were closing up shop for the night. Instead, they “continued to count ballots in secret,” tweeted David Shafer, chairman of the Georgia GOP.
We are just scratching the surface of the massive fraud perpetrated on the American people over the past few days. Newsmax TV’s Dick Morris called it “a set-up.”
“The Democratic Party planned for this. They knew they were likely to lose this election, so the first thing they did was to fake the polls that talked about how they were going to win… Then as results came in on Election Night, the Democrats constantly held up the count… Then they came in with their mail-in ballots, dumped them all of a sudden, barred Republicans from looking at them, and then announced that Biden had won.”
The problem is that once the mail-in ballots have been separated from the outside envelope that identifies the voter, they get mixed in with all other ballots. So if Republicans were not able to observe the opening of the envelopes and to verify the voter’s identity, there is no cure. The Trump campaign can sue till kingdom come, but they will not be able to reverse the Biden victories in Michigan, Wisconsin, and Minnesota. The only hope remaining is for GOP observers to stop illegal votes in Georgia, North Carolina and Pennsylvania, and then win either Nevada or Arizona.
It’s a tall order, but our freedoms are at stake.
