Stuart Kaufman: Celebrating Israel Independence Day, April 29

This year, Israel Independence Day will be observed on Wednesday, April 29th. The usual public celebrations can’t be held because of the quarantine, but we can all show our appreciation for the Jewish State by flying an Israeli flag.
If you are in the Charleston area, just let us know and we will make sure that you receive a flag to display.  If not, Israeli flags are easy to obtain on the internet.  In any event, I invite you to join our Facebook group, “Israel Pride” (linked below), and show the world that you rejoice in the fact that the State of Israel lives and flourishes.
You don’t need to be Jewish to show your support for the only free democracy in the Middle East, our strongest and most steadfast ally. Remember Genesis 12:3 which says of the children of Israel, “Those who bless you, I will bless. Those who curse you I will curse.”
Pictured is the flag that I fly every day. The large American flag is flying behind it on the upper left corner of the house, but can’t be seen in this photo. Join me in flying yours on April 29th.
