Daughter of Phyllis Schlafly: FX Series About Her Mother Is ‘Biased Fiction’

PolitiChick Lydia Susanne interviews Anne Schlafly Cori

Cate Blanchett rewrites history in new Hulu/FX series, ‘Mrs. America’

FX on Hulu will air a new series titled ‘Mrs. America’ beginning Tuesday, April,15th. Cate Blanchett, who is also the executive producer, and an all-star cast revisit and rewrite the history of the 70’s women’s movement-particularly that of Phyllis Schlafly. Schlafly a conservative icon who led a revolution of housewives in opposition to the passage of the Equal Rights Amendment and founded Eagle Forum, is portrayed in, of course, a most unflattering light. I had the privilege to discuss this new series with her daughter, Anne Schlafly Cori, chairman of Eagle Forum, who sets the record straight of this fictionalized portrayal of her mother.

(Author’s note: I apologize for the quality of the video. Due to internet overload, there are some portions where “freezing up” takes place; however, the quality of the interview with Anne is a must-see to present the facts regarding the legacy of Phyllis Schlafly -LS)

Lydia Susanne has conducted exclusive interviews with Israeli author Lela Gilbert, activist and lead singer of KANSAS John Elefonte, Todd Daniels of International Christian Concern, and Bob Fu of China Aid, among other notable subjects for PolitiChicks.com.
