Prager University: What’s Wrong with Government Healthcare?

Bernie Sanders, Ocasio-what’s-her-name, Mayor Gillum (in FL) all seem to think that government-run healthcare (so-called, single-payer) is simply the best idea since homemade syrup. Well, very simply, it’s not.

Rationing of services – Long wait times – extreme taxation rates for all income levels – ridiculous costs (30 Trillion Dollars for the first ten years on top of what we spend presently). All these things have proven to be the consequences of government-run healthcare in other countries where it has been implemented. What makes these leftists think that the U.S. version of such efforts will turn out differently?

Most worrisome? Where will the incentives go to encourage medical innovation and research? Who will produce the cures that we all pray for every day? Nobody among the supporters of government-run healthcare have bothered to address that most pressing question…or is it that they know the answer and just don’t want to deal with it?

Looks like they want us to buy another “pig in a poke.” Sounds a lot like Obamacare – only on stearoids. No thanks!!
