Prager University: Who is Karl Marx?

Over the past 100 years or so, many have argued that Karl Marx was a genius philosopher who was eons ahead of his time. Interestingly, Marx live nearly his entire life within England and never really experienced his dream of creating a communist utopia where, as he famously suggested everything would evolve into a state where “each contributes according to his ability and each receives according to his needs.” Unfortunately, the part that was omitted from most of the discussions of his idea – just who would determine what each person’s abilities were and who determines what each person needs.
Paul Kengor skillfully and simply lays our all of the details in this communist philosophy that has been responsible for nearly 100,000,000 deaths since it was first attempted by Vladimir Lenin in 1917.
