From
Gosnell Movie producers Ann McElhinney, Phelim McAleer, and Magdalena Sagieda:
Friends,
We wanted to tell you about this outrageous attempt by NPR to coverup the crimes of Kermit Gosnell.
You might remember the mainstream media had to be shamed into covering the story of America’s most prolific serial killer and promised to do better the next time.
Well I’m sorry to tell you they have not learned their lesson and are continuing with their censorship. NPR, which is funded by you – the taxpayer – have now banned the
Gosnell Movie from describing him as an “abortion doctor.”
Yes that’s right – they won’t allow us to state a simple fact on NPR – they want to go with their alternative facts that protect the abortion industry from any negative connotations.
Basically, we wanted to advertise on an NPR news show to publicist the Oct 12th launch of the Gosnell Movie but NPR wouldn’t accept our ad unless we agreed to NOT describe Gosnell as an “abortion doctor”. Yes that’s right they wanted no reference to abortion because they would mean people might find out something negative about the industry. And we all know that the mainstream media have to protect abortion. They wanted to ensure that their millions of mostly liberal listeners would never find out that America’s most prolific serial killer was an abortion doctor.
This is outrageous censorship – we need your help to ensure that it will never succeed. We need crowds in theaters on October 12th to show the mainstream media and Hollywood that we will not be silenced.
We also need you to spread the word now, on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Please share, like, comment and send the trailer to everyone you know.
We’re also having sneak-peak events around the country with cast and crew, find one near you here. Tonight we’re in Houston and NYC (sold out), tomorrow in Kansas City and Atlanta.
For the list of theaters showing the movie on October 12th, please keep checking our website, locations will be continually added over the next few weeks.
Thank you for all your support,
Ann, Phelim and Magdalena
