Stand For the National Anthem If Only For One Reason

My husband, Jack Gill, sent this to me this morning and it really hit home. I hope it does for these players as well.

“This is what every Sports Team Owner and coach should explain to the players on their teams. No matter what the political climate, and what side of the aisle you are on, you live in the United States of America and are being protected by these men and women every day and should respect their sacrifices for your freedom. My father was a 2 star General in the Air Force and I grew up with stories of soldiers who lost their lives defending our country. More Americans need to understand the meaning of the National Anthem and what it represents. Don’t bring politics in to the sports arena. Respect your country for the freedom that it has given you and the soldiers that protect you every day.”
