Florida Officials Sound Alarm as Category 5 Hurricane Irma Barrels Toward the U.S.

Hurricane Irma is expected to make a sharp turn toward Florida over the weekend. So, Florida officials are sounding the alarm to all visitors and residents.
Florida Gov. Rick Scott issued a stern warning to his citizens on Wednesday morning, telling them to – prepare for the worst and evacuate if you have to.
Hurricane Irma is already shaping up to be a stronger storm than Hurricane Andrew, the most destructive storm to ever impact the Sunshine State. Irma set a record on Tuesday when it clocked sustained winds of 185 miles per hour – making it the strongest hurricane ever recorded in the Atlantic Ocean.
Therefore, the storm is nothing to be taken lightly. Especially after the devastation we have seen from Hurricane Harvey in Texas last week.
As Gov. Scott also explained:
‘Let’s all remember, we can rebuild your home, but we can’t rebuild your life.’
Many Florida residents are already heeding all the warnings and they are stocking up on supplies and making neccessary preparations.
