Who Is Islamic Firebrand Linda “Jihad” Sarsour?
Linda Sarsour is a self-described progressive Islamic political activist with ties to Hamas. The former executive director of the Arab American Association of New York recently co-chaired the progressive 2017 A Day Without a Woman march.
She is a very high-profile, outspoken Islamic firebrand who once wished she could mutilate the vaginas of her political opponents. Pamela Geller has catalogued extensive research on Sarsour, calling her a “terror spox,” accused her of fraud and of hijacking the desecration of Jewish graves for her own personal gain.
Delivering an inflammatory diatribe at the 54th Annual Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) Convention, Sarsour invoked Allah and urged the Muslim community to wage “jihad” (Islamic holy war) against President Trump.

In an excerpt from her 22 minute rant, Sarsour urged fellow Muslims to “fight back” against white supremacists and Islamophobes reigning in the White House:
Since the horrific attacks on 9/11 . . .we still … find ourselves unprepared. Why sisters and brothers, why are we so unprepared? Why are we so afraid of this administration and the potential chaos that they will ensue on our community? … They come out every few weeks … Muslim Ban One, Muslim Ban Two, Muslim Ban Three. They are relentless. They are persistent and consistent.
They want to see how much our community can endure … and how hard we are going to fight back against this administration….
I hope, that we when we stand up to those who oppress our communities, that Allah accepts from us that as a form of jihad. That we are struggling against tyrants and rulers not only abroad … but here in these United States of America where you have fascists and white supremacists and Islamophobes reigning in the White House.
We have to stay outraged. … . . When I wake up in the morning, and I remember who is sitting in the White House, I am outraged. This is not normal, sisters and brothers. Those people sitting in the most powerful seats in this country, is not normal. Do not ever be those citizens that normalize this administration.
Our number one and top priority is to protect and defend our community. It is not to assimilate and to please any other people in authority. … And our top priority…is to please Allah, and only Allah.

Jordan Schachtel at Conservative Review notes that ISNA is the nation’s largest Islamic advocacy group with deep ties to extremism:
The annual ISNA convention has often featured radical Islamists. In 2001, Anwar al-Awlaki (who later became the leader of Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula), gave a keynote lecture on “tolerance.”
The ISNA convention is consistently rife with anti-Semitism and serves as support for U.S.-designated terrorist organizations.
Those sharing the stage with Sarsour at this year’s convention included a Holocaust denier, multiple imams who support the death penalty for homosexuals, the daughter of a convicted terrorist, and others who say Muslims should never cooperate with law enforcement. One speaker has, in the past, threatened fellow Muslims with physical violence for cooperating with police.
An estimated 20,000 people attended ISNA’s convention.
