UPDATE to PolitiChicks Article, “VA Forces Terminally Ill Disabled Vet to Move to Another State for Life-Saving Surgery”

GREAT NEWS!

For those of you who saw an article PolitiChicks posted on their website on May 2 titled VA Forces Terminally Ill Disabled Veteran to Move to Another State for Life Saving Transplant Surgery, Courtney and David Brayton received a call from West L.A. VA approving the transplant procedure has been approved to take place at UCLA!

BOOM!

The number of people it took to move this mountain is unknown. But what is known for sure… it took an entire community of folks across the nation banding together with a unified voice that the VA would FINALLY hear! A few of those individuals and organizations are listed below. But there are MANY whose names we don’t know. And we know that with the weight of each additional voice, the pressure finally gave way to success.

Courtney and David’s Congressman, Steve Knight, and his staff have worked diligently with them for over a year to bring attention to their concerns.

I spoke to a personal friend, Tim Donnelly, a former California State Legislator and a former gubernatorial candidate for California regarding the Braytons. Robert Patrick, a loyal PolitiChicks supporter and a staunch advocate for our veterans, drew Tim’s attention to the article about the Brayton’s saga. When Tim was told about it, he sent word to a member of Trump’s administration team at the White House.

While Robert and Tim were compliant instruments in God’s plan for Courtney and David, they were just that—parts of an even bigger picture which involves all of you. The Braytons story would never have made it to the White House and VA leadership in Washington DC to receive the attention it needed if it had not been for all of you who prayed, shared the story across social media, emailed, called and tweeted to the contact information shared in the articles on the following sites:
