Clemson University: Expecting people to show up on time is racist

What?! Wait…is this another joke on a fake news site? No, believe it or not this is the actual idiocy that is going on at our Universities. According to The Blaze website, Clemson University now has an online “inclusion awareness course” provided by a company called Workplace Answers that cost Clemson $26,945. This course “encourages” faculty and staff to take the training to understand that not all “cultures” look at time the same way that other cultures do, and perhaps someone who shows up late to a meeting or a class just has a “culturally different perspective” on what time means and therefore should not be discriminated against. I’m sorry, but have they completely lost their minds??? Try living in the “real world” and see how far you get showing up whenever you feel like it to a job. This is what our colleges are doing with their time? Other issues discussed in the course deal with sexism and if faculty and staff refuse or don’t take the course, they are strongly reminded through automated emails.
My take on this idiocy? If you expect people to show up on time it is not racist…if you don’t expect them to, it is.
