New York City Mayor Creating “Safe Space” to Help People Deal with Trump Victory

New Yorkers can all rest easy now.
New York City’s warm and compassionate Mayor Bill de Blasio is creating a city-wide ‘safe space’ for all municipal employees, offering therapy sessions to deal with Donald J. Trump’s election victory.
Mayor De Blasio wrote in an email to city workers:
“Many New Yorkers may be feeling distressed or vulnerable following the election results. … We have seen the concerns expressed on social media and we are monitoring them closely.”

A city hall spokesman also said:
“The post-election period has been anxiety-producing for many people, understandably. When you throw the holidays into that, it can be a very difficult time for those coping with mental health challenges.”
What ever happened to the tough and resilient 9/11 New Yorkers? Mayor De Blasio’s city-wide “safe space” seems rather insulting to them, don’t you think?
