Charlie Brown and Linus: What ‘Intolerant’ Little Holiday Troublemakers

Because this is not a “safe space” for those easily offended, here is a video where that ‘politically incorrect’ and little ‘deplorable’ Linus dares to tell us what Christmas is all about on Charlie Brown’s Christmas special:

Well, Dedra Shannon, a staffer at Patterson Middle School in Killeen, Texas, was so inspired by the scene she decided to use images to decorate the door to the nurse’s office.

The decorations included a picture of Linus, the scrawny Christmas tree and that classic passage of dialogue about the true meaning of the holiday.

Which Candidate Do You Support in the Republican Primaries?

The decorations were installed on December 5. On December 7, Ms. Shannon was confronted by the school’s principal.  Shannon was told, “Please don’t hate me, but unfortunately you’re going to have to take your poster down.”  Shannon continued, “I’m disappointed. It is a slap in the face of Christianity.”

The principal went on to explain that the poster violated the U.S. Constitution.

“She said my poster is an issue of separation of church and state,” Ms. Shannon stated. “She said the poster had to come down because it might offend kids from other religions or those who do not have a religion.”

The principal clearly does not understand the First Amendment of the Constitution and Jefferson’s intent behind ‘separation of church and state.’ But that’s for a whole other rant on another day.

Ms. Shannon was told she could keep Linus on the door – but the Bible passage had to be removed.

“I just took the entire thing down,” she said. “I wasn’t going to leave Linus and the Christmas tree without having the dialogue. That’s the whole point of why it was put up.”

However, this is not the first time that Christian ‘bigot’ Charlie Brown was an offensive holiday troublemaker.

Last year, a school had to cancel a stage performance of the Charlie Brown Christmas classic over similar Constitutional concerns (again, a complete misunderstanding of the Constitution and ‘separation of church and state’– but who cares about the facts when they get in the way of our anti-Christian agenda, right?).

In the name of ‘diversity,’ it would be completely acceptable for schools to teach students about holidays of other major religions.

But, how dare that ‘intolerant’ little Charlie Brown try to teach students the history and true meaning behind Christmas?

Heaven forbid they hear the message and recognize their own need to receive the Greatest Gift to all mankind. Sheesh.
