Strong Responses After “Hamilton” Actor Unloads on VP-Elect Mike Pence

This is EXACTLY why Donald Trump won the 2016 presidential election–that condescending attitude Liberals have toward ordinary (or ‘deplorable‘ as Hillary Clinton likes to call them) Americans and the leaders who dare to represent them.
While “Hamilton,” is supposed to be a theater production about colonial rebels shaping the future of an unformed country, the Broadway hit decided to use the stage to lecture Vice President-elect Mike Pence on Friday night.
With Pence attending the show, the cast deviated away from just sheer entertainment to make a statement emphasizing the need for the new administration of President-elect Donald J. Trump, a Republican, to work on behalf of all Americans.
As the play ended, the actor who played Vice President Aaron Burr, Brandon Victor Dixon, acknowledged that Mr. Pence was in the audience, thanked him for attending and added, “We hope you will hear us out.”
Dixon continued, “We, sir — we — are the diverse America who are alarmed and anxious that your new administration will not protect us, our planet, our children, our parents, or defend us and uphold our inalienable rights,” he said. “We truly hope that this show has inspired you to uphold our American values and to work on behalf of all of us.”

The audience broke out in enthusiastic applause and cheers.
Mr. Pence was leaving as Mr. Dixon began to read the statement from the stage. A show spokesman said that Mr. Pence stood in the hallway outside the entrance to the auditorium and heard the full remarks.
Mr. Pence made no comment and was photographed smiling as he left the theater. But Mr. Trump, amid meetings on Saturday with possible candidates for White House and cabinet positions, inserted himself into the story with two Twitter posts before 9 a.m.
President-elect Donald Trump tweeted:
Our wonderful future V.P. Mike Pence was harassed last night at the theater by the cast of Hamilton, cameras blazing. This should not happen!

Donald Trump tweeted again:
The Theater must always be a safe and special place. The cast of Hamilton was very rude last night to a very good man, Mike Pence. Apologize!

Many Americans all over the nation have been reacting to the “Hamilton” cast’s surprising treatment of the Vice President-elect on Friday night, calling the stunt, “not so classy.”

E Street Band guitarist Steven Van Zandt called upon Lin-Manuel Miranda to apologize to Mike Pence for the Hamilton cast’s speech to the Vice President-elect following Friday’s performance.
U.S. Army Colonel Bill Connor posted on FaceBook:
“Could anyone imagine the outcry in the media if Obama or Biden went to Broadway and a conservative pulled the same garbage as happened in Hamilton? For Goodness sake, it would bring an international outcry from the mainstream media the likes of which we haven’t seen since that against the terrorists committing 9-11. Whoever did such a thing would be labelled an irredeemable racist and lunatic. Of course, against a GOP/conservative VP elect……… No, there’s no double standard is the wonderfully unbiased and professional mainstream national media………. (sarcasm and disgust).”
A pro-Trump flash mob gathered outside the “Hamilton” theater in NYC Saturday night. Trump supporters were seen waving Trump signs and American flags and chanting, “USA!”

Many Trump supporters have threatened to boycott the theater production altogether.
Ironically, Alexander Hamilton was one of the Founders who designed the Electoral College–which ultimately delivered President-elect Donald Trump’s victory on November 8th.
