Clinton Surrogates Furious . . . at HRC!

Hillary’s campaign appears to be in chaos this weekend after Friday’s FBI announcement that it was reopening its criminal investigation. As Ross Perot would’ve said 24 years ago, “that giant sucking sound” is the collective gasp of the Democrat Party and Leftwing Media. But so far the wagons are not circling in a well-disciplined Hillary campaign as would typically be expected.
Hillary Clinton’s allies are reported to be in stunned disbelief. With less than two weeks before Election Day, Clinton supporters believe the revived federal investigation into her “unconventional email arrangement” threatens her run for president.
A scathing revelation is that some Hillary’s surrogates are furious — AT HILLARY. They are blaming Hillary and her handlers. They are blaming Anthony Wiener and estranged wife Huma. They are even blaming James Comey for doing his job. They do not have a united message and this betrays panic over the nature and implications of Hillary’s email scandal and her candidacy.
“I’m livid, actually,” one Clinton surrogate told The Hill. “This has turned into malpractice. It’s an unforced error at this point. I have no idea what Comey is up to but the idea this email issue is popping back up again is outrageous. It never should have occurred in the first place. Someone somewhere should have told her no. And they didn’t and now we’re all paying the price.”
The surrogate predicted the news would also hurt Democrats in down ballot elections. “I assume Senate Democrats are peeing in their pants right now,” the surrogate said. “The [Republican] ads are being cut as we speak.”
The panic within the Hillary campaign is palpable. In a damage control mode, John Podesta demanded the FBI reveal what it has, saying
“FBI Director Comey should immediately provide the American public more information . . . we have no idea what those emails are and the Director himself notes they may not even be significant.“
Of course, any subject of a federal investigation wants to know what the feds have on them. If Hillary had not deleted 33,000 emails, perhaps Podesta would know what the FBI has.
In the latest ABC tracking poll, Hillary Clinton is dropping steadily two points a day. On Tuesday, Clinton led Trump by 12 points. Wednesday, she lost 3 point, leading Trump by 9 points. Thursday, before news of the investigation broke, Hillary led Trump by 6 points. On Friday, her lead fell to 4 point. By Saturday she lead Trump by only 2 points.
Polls do not yet reflect the full impact of James Comey’s announcement. The true impact of Comey’s announcement will begin to be seen on Tuesday.
“It is extraordinary that we would see something like this just 11 days out from a presidential election,” Podesta acknowledged. Yes, it is indeed.
