The Silent Trumpers are “Coming Out”!
Well, well, well, it looks like a change is in the air. Over the last couple of weeks, but particularly since last weekend, there has been a surge in the polls for Donald Trump. Interesting, isn’t it? I believe, and I have said this for a long time now, that there are millions and millions of Trump voters who have “stayed in the closet” and not spoken out in their intention to vote for him. Well, all of this has changed and I believe that it is largely due to Hillary Clinton’s faux pas last week calling half of his supporters a “basket of deplorables”. Little did she know that that arrogant, demeaning little comment in front of her millionaire donors who yucked it up with her would bring millions of formerly silent voters to speak up and own their vote.
These are the group of voters who up until now have been hesitant to admit to friends, co-workers or pollsters that yes, indeed, they are Trumpers. Now because of Hillary Clinton’s elitist and divisive remark they find themselves part of a large group of citizens who have their own “brand”. They are finding out that they belong to a trendy group of Americans who are actually proud to be branded by Hillary and the left as “irredeemable and un-American”. It is now acceptable for them to push back at her and say that they are supporting Donald Trump because they hear themselves being labeled as racist, sexist, homophobic, zenophobic and Islamaphobic and they have had enough! Hillary Clinton with one stroke of her broad brush just dissed half of the country and now they are coming out and fighting back. I suppose they figure that if they are in that “basket”, they might as well at least openly come out for Trump and own it.
The polls are showing this in a big way. Trump up in Ohio by five points. Trump surging and taking away Clinton’s lead in Georgia and Arizona. Trump moving ahead in Florida and Iowa. Even Colorado that was just a few months ago considered a given for Hillary is now suddenly in play. Why? It’s not just her health issues and it’s not the constant drip of email leaks that are more damning everyday. This is what we have been saying for a long time, that the support for Trump has always been underestimated by the Democrats, the media and the elites of both parties. It just reached a tipping point when she went one step too far and her absolute disdain for the American people became crystal clear.
In another interesting observation, white, Christian Democrats are moving toward Trump, because they are not comfortable with her elitist attitudes and her constant lies about everything. People are seeing her for who she really is and they know that not one word that comes out of her mouth is the truth. They are taking a closer look and seeing that it isn’t Trump who is the hater, it’s her. She made it clear, in no uncertain terms that she has no use for millions of Americans and if she becomes President, she would treat them with disdain and contempt. Haven’t we just gone through eight years of this with Obama? He had no use for the “bitter clingers” who hold tight to their guns and religion and she has no use for people who are only standing up for the rule of law and want safety, security and prosperity brought back to this country.
I sometimes feel that advanced technology in today’s world is a little overwhelming and intrusive, but then I think how grateful I am that when it comes down to making crucial decisions for our country’s future, we are fortunate to see and hear what our prospective leaders really think about us. They put on that fake, caring, “I feel your pain” mantra, but deep down they laugh with their rich and powerful friends and relish how “they depend on the stupidity of the American people”! With the help of the media, they almost have their propaganda overwhelming everything. They manipulate, twist and mold everything to fit their agenda and God help anyone who disagrees with them. The wheels of destruction will start turning against you and they will crush you under the weight.
Well, we are not as stupid as they think, and now we are not as timid as they think. As more and more Americans jump in the Trump basket Hillary will continue to see her lead slip away. At the end of the day she can only hope that George Soros can manipulate the voting machines; the Black Panthers can stand at the polls and intimidate voters; or she can dig up all the dead people in the swing states who somehow still vote Democrat.
