Obsessed With HGTV’s ‘Fixer Upper’? This One’s For YOU!

If you’re not sure how popular the mega-hit HGTV show Fixer Upper,” is, go to any home improvement store or antique shop and say aloud, “I love shiplap!” or “It’s demo day!” and I guarantee you will immediately make a few new friends.
For those of you who haven’t seen the show (although I can’t imagine why), Chip and JoAnna are a married couple in Waco, Texas and they basically take the worst of the worst houses and remodel them into magical homes that anyone would want to live in. As a native Texan, every episode of Fixer Upper makes me yearn to move to Waco to live in a Chip and JoAnna house.
Sure, there are dozens of home makeover shows on television but with Fixer Upper it’s the hosts, Chip and JoAnna Gaines, that make all us fans watch them weekly. Beyond their exquisite taste in architecture and home decor, the Gaines’ also have the most wonderful sense of family and their love for each other and their children is expressed in every episode.

It was kind of like a scavenger hunt, searching for specific “JoAnna-like” items–all-things-galvanized silver, white painted wood things, and white silk flowers. (The only item I couldn’t find were the tall-stemmed cotton balls, but Hobby Lobby had them on sale so there ya go.)
Here’s what I ended up with:
