The Real War is on Freedom and Liberty

Don't TreadEvery minute of the day we are bombarded by those who would have us believe that every thing and everybody is unfairly persecuted.  Phobias and Wars abound.  Homophobia, war on women, war on race, war on the poor, war on Mexicans, war on the environment, and the list goes on.   These are faux wars contrived for the single purpose of restricting our freedoms and liberties, the goal of which is to exert maniacal and complete control over us and every area of our lives.

The real War is on our Freedom and Liberty.  As Thomas Jefferson defined those, freedom usually means to be free from something, whereas Liberty usually means to be free to do something.  Our oppressive, out-of-control government has shackled us by usurping the power of the people (10th Amendment).

We no longer have liberty to choose our own doctors. Instead, our government decides what form of treatment we will be allowed to have.  Governmental bureaucrats make those decisions for us based solely upon what they perceive our value to the government to be.  In other words, are we young and vital– producers? Or are we older, retired, or (heaven forbid) do we have special needs– non-producers?

We no longer have the liberty to have a career.  Obamacare has placed such hideous requirements on employers that merely to stay in business they have had to drastically reduce the number of employees and restrict the number of hours their employees may work.  Therefore, today’s young adults have to opt for several part-time jobs.  A “job” is not a career, and a family cannot be adequately supported on “several part-time jobs.”

We no longer have the liberty to exercise Freedom of Speech. To hold an opinion that differs from the liberal/progressive powers that be is considered to be politically incorrect.  With the power and resources of the federal government behind them, those high-and-mighty liberal/progressives aim their cannons of false guilt and fire away; thus those who hold that differing opinion are mocked, criticized, dismissed, and sent to the back of the bus.

We no longer have the liberty to exercise Religious Freedom.  Memories Pizza in Indiana was forced to close because the owners expressed that they would not cater a homosexual wedding.  Sweet Cakes by Melissa, a small bakery owned by Aaron and Melissa Klein in Oregon, was forced to close and heavily fined because they refused to bake a cake for a homosexual wedding.  And a high school runner in Georgia was disqualified from a state meet because he wore a Bible verse on his headband.

We no longer have the liberty to assemble.   The IRS refused to give tax-exempt status to numerous conservative groups such as Tea Party Groups, and many individuals were targeted and harassed by the IRS.

The War on American Sovereignty-  Our borders are open, illegal aliens are invited to (illegally) vote in our elections, Social Security will soon be depleted because of pay-outs to aliens, there are more people receiving welfare than who are working, our egomaniacal President brings in thousands of children from other continents as he welcomes and hosts by the tens of thousands dangerous, unvetted Syrians and the like.

Note to liberal/progressive/socialists:  We the People are tired of it; we have had more than enough.  Election time will soon be here.

Abigail Adams

Georgia PolitiChick Abigail Adams is the proud daughter of a WWII foot soldier who served on the front lines in France and Germany. Because of her father, she was reared and steeped in patriotism. She is a true southern woman who lives in the foothills of beautiful North Georgia and works as a homemaker. As if that is not enough, Abigail is active in the home schooling of her grandsons, ages five and 15 years. Abigail works with conservative candidates on their campaigns and is a member of her county and state Republican Party. She understands the importance of her grandson's generation having knowledge of history and being a patriot, so she takes her them with her to Tea Party gatherings and Republican meetings. She also includes the boys with her when she is involved with local and national political activities. In addition to family and politics, Abigail enjoys gardening, sewing, cooking, conservative talk radio, and reading history and biographies of our Founders and of more contemporary heroes such as Ronald Reagan and Winston Churchill. Love for America, our Constitution, and a deep admiration for our Founding Fathers flows through Abigail's veins, and her heart's desire is to help restore America and bring her back to her roots of freedom, justice, liberty, and world leadership. Long live America; may her light shine forever.
