New Documentary Shows Disturbing Anti-Israel Bias by Huffington Post Despite “Nonpartisan” Proclamation

A powerful new documentary, “The Huffington Post’s Anti-Semitic Bias and Incitement during the Third Infitada” by multi-media graphic designer and strategist Jon Sutz pulls the curtain back on the anti-Semitic nature of the Huffington Post. Here is the trailer:

Founded by former conservative Arianna Huffington (with help from the late Andrew Breitbart), The Huffington Post was originally founded in 2005 as a left-leaning alternative to the popular Drudge Report, and has since grown to be one of the most influential websites in the world.

The documentary has several components to it. Sutz, who directed, produced and narrates the film, examined the Huffington Post’s new coverage last fall on Palestinian-on-Israel violence. Sutz finds that the majority of the stories to be sympathetic to the Palestinians, but nothing about the grief of the Israeli families who lost loved ones. Instead, numerous articles are found in which the Israelis are somehow blamed for every incident involving a Palestinian, but

“HuffPost felt that telling sad stories about a lonely three-eared cat in England, and abused animals, and sad celebrities, took precedence. And of course, stirring up sympathy for Palestinians, while ignoring, whitewashing or downplaying the Jewish victims of Palestinian terrorists,” Sutz said.

At the same time, an article penned by Huffington in September, 2014 is the most recent of many in which she insists HuffPost is only engaged in truth-telling and straight reporting:

“And at every step along the way, we refused to fall prey to the innovator’s dilemma by constantly evolving, innovating and reinventing vital aspects of how we put together The Huffington Post while remaining true to the core values that made HuffPost HuffPost, including:
– Using storytelling to put flesh and blood on statistics, putting a human face on the numbers.
– Finding the buried lede and moving it to the top of the page.
– Comforting the afflicted and afflicting the comfortable.
– Putting an end to seeing every issue through the tired frame of “right vs. left.”

Interestingly, since the debut of this documentary on March 1, the Huffington Post has removed its search engine, which Sutz used routinely to conduct his research. Why the search box was removed remains a mystery. Sutz was tipped off by this development by a reader in South Africa, shortly after appearing on a radio interview originating in that country.

#SaveTheWest has produced a harrowing, moving documentary which clearly outlines the specific anti-Israeli bias from the Huffington Post at every juncture.

“My hope is that this documentary, and all the supporting assets, will help to start a conversation that I believe is long overdue – about what exactly is “journalism” in the 21st century,” explains Sutz. “And, about what happens when the 8,000 lb gorilla of online “news” decides to declare war against Israel and Jews, and whitewashes and even legitimizes Palestinian terrorism, while insisting it is not partisan in any way.”
