After more than three years in Iranian prisons, American Pastor Saeed Abedini is back in the States, resting at the Billy Graham Training Center “the Cove” in Asheville, North Carolina. He is at the center to spend time with his parents, but also for a quiet and private place to reconnect with his wife Naghmeh, and their children who are due to arrive soon.
Franklin Graham, president and CEO of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, and President of the Christian Relief Organization, Samaritan’s Purse reiterated the need for privacy for the family. He stated, “None of us in America can begin to understand or appreciate what Saeed has endured after being imprisoned in Iran because of his Christian faith… He is grateful for everyone’s prayers…”
As one of millions who was praying for Pastor Saeed, it’s hard to imagine how long of a process it will be for Pastor Saeed to fully heal emotionally and perhaps physically from his imprisonment, but it is so gratifying to know he’s home, surrounded already by family and others who will continue to support and pray for him and his family.
