Illegal Aliens to Have Access to Obamacare
The most recent nonsense coming out of Washington is that Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D-Chicago) wants to make it possible for illegal aliens to receive Obamacare. Yes, you read that right. He wants illegals to have the same benefits as Americans.
Under his proposed bill, immigrants, regardless of legal status, would be a part of the Affordable Care Act’s mandate that requires them to purchase health insurance.
“The goal is to make integration and inclusion real for millions of families that are locked out under current law. As it stands right now, undocumented immigrants are not subject to the individual mandate and cannot buy into health insurance exchanges even if they use their own money. My legislation will change that. It says we stand for inclusion,” Rep. Gutierrez said on the house floor. “As a nation, we all benefit when we spread the risk, require younger, healthier workers to join our exchanges with the rest of us, reduce the costs of compensating hospitals for caring for the uninsured and decrease the number of uninsured who live and work here.”
Last time I checked, we should be punishing people who come here illegally, not rewarding them.
We, as a nation, wonder why so many come here illegally. The answer is simple. Why come to this nation through the legal channels when you qualify for welfare programs and now, Obamacare? Why wait years and pay thousands of dollars when you can determine your own fate by crossing the border at your own choosing?
I’m tired of being told that I need to be inclusive and respectful of illegals’ feelings. What about my feelings? What about AMERICANS feelings? I work hard. I pay taxes. I’m not on government assistance. We don’t take care of our homeless Veterans but we have money to hand out to everyone else. It’s absolutely asinine. We’re so quick have the PC police come around and harass anyone who isn’t following the liberal agenda of giving out “free” things.
What happened to pulling yourself up by your boot straps, working hard and getting ahead that way? Instead, our nation has turned its focus to leveling the playing field and rewarding everyone so no one’s feelings get hurt.
We’re going from land of the free to land of the free stuff. It’s time for this to end. It starts by removing people like Gutierrez from office.
