Benghazi Select Committee: Are We Unhappy, Mr. Schiff?

Benghazi Select Committee member Congressman Adam Schiff (D-CA, 28th District) has been a consistent hinderance to the process of uncovering the truth and establishing an atmosphere of accountability about the September 11, 2012, Benghazi attacks.

Even Before he became a member of the committee, Mr. Schiff has made numerous, offensive remarks debunking the crime that is Benghazi as a “false scandal.” In fact, since September 12, 2012, the Democratic Party as a whole has done everything they could to debunk the background and foreground of the Benghazi attack as “being nothing there there,” “a re-animated corpse” and other offensive partisan statements.

The charge of a politicization of the Benghazi attack can be directly laid on the steps of the Democratic Party. Ultimately, ladies and gentlemen, there is nothing political about the truth. But in the interest of winning an election the Obama Administration has lied and covered-up the truth about Benghazi.

With his September 4, 2015 New York Times Op-ed, Mr. Schiff has reached a new low. In the Times piece Mr. Schiff states that the Benghazi Select Committee should be disbanded. Mr. Schiff further states, “The Select Committee has become little more than a partisan tool to influence the presidential race, a dangerous precedent that will haunt Congress for decades.”

Really Mr. Schiff? If this is a long standing haunting than we should re-examine the quality of the what truly haunts both Houses of Congress. I would think that the blood of four Americans that died due to the incompetence, negligence, and continuing malfeasance of the Obama Administration to be far more worthy of spectral consideration.

Mr. Schiff further writes in his September 4th Times piece, “Since its formation the Select Committee on Benghazi has been aimless and slow moving?” Really Mr. Schiff? My experience attending the first Benghazi Select Committee hearing was that your party was the one that slowed the process with ponderous and partisan questioning.

Mr. Schiff also writes, “I assisted with one investigation, conducted by the House Intelligence Committee, which debunked the conspiracy theories alleging malicious action or a vast cover-up.” We now know that the House Intelligence Committee’s Report on the Benghazi Attack has so many holes in it that it belongs in a D.C. deli.

I truly believe that when the members of the minority party were picked by former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, to participate in House Select Committee on Benghazi, they were given marching orders by her: Stall the process and hinder the search for the truth as much as possible or words to that effect. They should be ashamed of themselves.

I truly have to ask Mr. Schiff why he is so unhappy with House Select Committee on Benghazi. Are you afraid of the truth sir? Are you afraid that supposed 2016 front runner for the Democratic party may be revealed as a criminal gun runner? Are you afraid that you may have to eat your cruel and thoughtless words? What are the nature and shape of the skeletons in your closet?

Ultimately, Mr. Schiff have you no shame?

Mr. Schiff’s behavior is inappropriate for any member of Congress. On September 9th, I expressed my displeasure to Chairman Gowdy’s Chief Counsel Dana Chipman, who diplomatically told me that “committee members have to find their own path.”

I agree, as Adam Schiff has done little to contribute to the Benghazi Select Committee process, he is finding his own path. He has been largely absent from the various interviews. A committee member in absentia.

I believe it is a path to resignation and that he should resign from the Benghazi Select Committee. Go back to California Mr. Schiff and preserve the thinnest sliver of dignity that you have left in your arsenal of delusion.
