How Young Conservative Charlie Kirk Is Taking College Campuses by Storm
If you haven’t yet heard of 21-year old Charlie Kirk and his organization, Turning Point U.S.A., you’re in for a treat.
While GOP strategists seem to be clueless as to how to reach millennials, Charlie is already leading thousands of youth on high school and college campuses. By following the tried and true tactics of community organizers of the past, Kirk understands the importance of planting “boots on the ground” and by doing so, he has infiltrated what many consider impenetrable for conservatives: educational institutions.
So how has he done this when words like ‘Republican’ and ‘conservative’ have been so thoroughly denigrated by the media and schools? For one thing, he doesn’t outwardly affiliate with any particular political party. Instead he simply talks about things like values and principles, and the benefits of a smaller government being ruled by the people.
In other words, conservatism. The results are that youth are flocking to Turning Point USA and helping spread Charlie’s message.
PolitiChicks recently spoke to Charlie Kirk at the David Horowitz Freedom Center Retreat in Dallas, asking him what he believes is the biggest threat in America. Here is his response:
