Bill Murray Wins City Council Election (Not That Bill Murray!)

It wasn’t “Groundhog Day,” but it was Election Day on April 7th in Colorado Springs, CO where Bill Murray won a seat on City Council. Murray served “Meatballs,” caddy snacks (as in “Caddyshack”), and “Tootsie” rolls at his victory party along with green slime drinks, “Ghostbusters” style.
Which Candidate Do You Support in the Republican Primaries?
Murray, a registered Democrat, had support from voters of many “Stripes.” In the non-partisan election, Murray enjoyed support across the political spectrum from free market Republicans to card carrying Democrats to cannabis promoting Libertarians and unaffiliated voters ranging from liberal to conservative. Murray shared a simple campaign message that wouldn’t get “Lost in Translation.” He said that Colorado Springs City Council needs to focus on fixing potholes instead of trying to build a new downtown stadium with taxpayer money.
For those asking, “What About Bob?”, no one named Bob was listed on the slate of candidates.
