The First-Ever Evangelical Gathering at the March for Life!

PolitiChicks.comThe countdown is beginning for a first-ever evangelical event uniting pro-life groups at the annual March for Life in Washington, DC. The March for Life is held every year on January 22nd on the tragic anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court decisions that legalized abortion in the Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton cases. Every year nearly 500,000 marchers take to the streets of our nation’s capital to end the injustice of abortion that has killed nearly 57 million babies since the Supreme Court’s ruling in 1973.  This year on the evening of the 21st there will be a free non-denominational event called OneVoiceDC to open up the March in prayer and worship.

This free event is hosted by The Radiance Foundation, Bound4Life International, Online For Life, as well as many other pro-life, pro-family and pro-liberty organizations. The purpose of this event is to have an opportunity for Christians to gather together for a powerful night of prayer and worship to end abortion.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

Bethany Bomberger, one of the leaders of the event and the executive director of The Radiance Foundation, commented on the purpose of this first-ever prayer and worship event. “Abortion silences over a million every year. These lost lives change the very soul of our nation. We believe that, as Christians standing in solidarity, this tragedy will come to an end and our nation will find healing. OneVoiceDC is a unique opportunity for those from various denominations and backgrounds to unite in powerful prayer and divine worship. We will be a voice so that future generations will not lose theirs.”

It is a powerful event when thousands of people unite and march together for a purpose like the ending of the social injustice of abortion but as Christians we know change begins with the power of prayer. OneVoiceDC is open to all and will be held at the Renaissance Washington, DC Downtown Hotel from 7-9:30pm. Plan to join this event and gather to pray, worship, and March for Life!
