Setting Your 2015 Health Goals, Pt. 2: Bullet-Proof Mindset

Last week we discussed the importance of our words and how we use them to accomplish our goals. Words are powerful. Power, that the bible teaches came to dwell among us. Psalm 106:20 says, “He sent His word and healed them; and delivered them from their destructions.” We use words to encourage; use your words to put courage into your journey.
If your words are the seeds that will blossom into your dreams, then your mind is the fertile ground in which they grow. Developing a sound mind is the next step towards reaching your goals. 2 Timothy 1:7 defines our authority/dominion which we can employ right away; “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” Restrained, disciplined, able to reason, self-controlled, good judgment–these are just a few of the words associated with having a sound mind.
Application of this divine authority that we possess ….
- Have an unshakable belief in your goals and the reason for them- be determined.
- Keep focused on your goals; when tempted to falter, focus on the positive, not the negative- be disciplined.
- Stay away from toxic people, things and influences- good judgment.
- Surround yourself with positive messages- able to reason.
As one of my business mentors says, “The only way to cancel out the dark is to flood it with light”;
we are all given this beautiful power, why not embrace it and live to your fullest potential?
Until next time dear friends, all my best!
