Why Foreign Policy is a Winning Issue for the GOP

With all that is going on in the world, between ISIS and Ebola, Americans are afraid for the future security of America. Seeing pictures of American journalists being beheaded not only shocked Americans, but it challenged our core beliefs as a nation.
Being the largest superpower in the world means all eyes are on us when it comes to every aspect of economics and foreign policy. Since ISIS and Ebola came to dominate political discussion and public concern, President Obama has made little headway in protecting Americans and the American way of life. The Democrats have done nothing to urge the President to take some very necessary foreign policy decisions. Unfortunately, the Democrats have decided to sit back and act like Ebola and ISIS can’t and won’t impact Americans.
Newsflash: Â Ebola is in America and ISIS is beheading Americans.
Republicans have begun to use these two foreign policy issues to point out the incompetence of the Obama Administration and how Democrats are sheeple to the Obama agenda.
How many Democrats have challenged Obama on this issue? None that I know of.
Calling for a travel ban is logical. If you don’t want people in your country getting sick, you don’t let people from infected countries come to your country. I understand people in infected countries need medical attention and we have the best healthcare professionals in the world. It healthcare workers want to participate in helping those less fortunate, then they should. But they should have to be quarantined in places in Africa that is now free of Ebola. Once they prove they’re not sick and they’ve gone through that quarantine, then they can return to the United States. Not before. This should be the rule. No exceptions.
Republicans have also called out the Obama Administration and his die-hard followers in Congress in regards to their lack of inaction regarding ISIS. Is there any American who is okay with their fellow citizens being beheaded at the hands of terrorists? Absolutely not.
If Republicans continue to point out the failed foreign policy decisions – or lack there of – by the Democrats, the GOP has a chance of regaining control of the Senate and maintaining control of the House. It takes those with Military experience to know how to handle terrorists. And we all know that Military men and women are not Democrats.
