Congressman is Jim Bridenstine of Oklahoma has a stellar military record, and will stand for truth and honor when others will not.  He is a Republican who defeated an incumbent Republican in Oklahoma in 2012 to make a difference and to stop ‘politics as usual’ in any way he can.  He did not draw an opponent from either party this election cycle.  He surrounds himself with a strong and faithful staff, such as Pastor Harvey Sparks, that keep him accountable to God.  He is a true American hero, but would defer that title to those who gave all.

His first action as a Congressman was to vote against Boehner for Speaker of the House, even though he was threatened with losing his committee assignment on the Armed Services Committee.  His response was this (paraphrased):  “I promised my constituents that I would vote against Boehner, so I can explain my vote.  Will you be able to explain denying me the Committee Assignment with my military record?”  He voted no Boehner.  He was assigned to the Armed Services committee.

Which Candidate Do You Support in the Republican Primaries?

The brief history lesson Rep. Bridenstine teaches here is missing in our schools today. Please listen. If you do nothing else today, watch this video.  When you have more time, go watch the rest of his House floor presentations.  You will be thankful that we have him serving in Congress.  I present the honorable Congressman Jim Bridenstine’s speech at the Values Voter Summit:
