Parents, It’s Up to YOU to Stop Data Mining on Your Children! Here’s how.

How does the biggest Civil Rights issue in our nation today go under the radar? Computerized adaptive testing is gathering data that no one has any business collecting. It is being collected without consent and without parental knowledge. Cheryl Hill, a parent from Connecticut, points out that the marketing is superb. This is not surprising as Bill Gates is probably the most outstanding marketing genius in the world.
At the end of this article is a 30 minute video–yes, it’s long, but please listen because Cheryl presents information that you absolutely must have before you send your child to school. The information is cited, and can be looked up on government websites. Basically, parents do not even have access to the data being collected–psychological data that will be collected and shared with “stakeholders”, whomever they are, and which parents and teachers may not see it. The data is on a superhighway, thanks to the Student Longitudinal Database which has been installed in each state.
Parents tend to trust teachers as a rule, and please understand, I love teachers. But across the U.S. teachers are now being coerced into collecting data to keep their jobs. I know this from talking to teachers. They either comply or they do not have a contract.
However–while teachers are required to give the data collecting tests, your student is not required to take them. In the video, Cheryl Hill addresses these issues and gives opt out options along with the written talking points that schools are using to bully you into thinking your child has to take the tests by law.
I would recommend that you not only watch this video, but please forward it to your LOCAL School Board and Superintendent. Also send it to your State legislators on the education committee and your own representatives, and try to get this information to your churches and parent groups.
Lynn Habluetzel from Restore Oklahoma Public Education notes that moms and teachers all over America are figuring out they do not like the direction our public education is going–so they are standing up and opting out.
