Elbert Guillory: “Mary Landrieu is Not Helping Blacks.”

Elbert Guillory represents District 24 as a State Senator for Louisiana. You may remember him most for changing his party affiliation from Democrat to Republican last year with his now infamous video titled, “Why I became a Republican”. Guillory, who references Fredrick Douglass and Thomas Sowell in his videos, is now running for the Lieutenant Governor’s position and is highly favored to win. Guillory is also a liberal’s worst nightmare because he is an outspoken servant of the people and has been making powerful campaign ads. His most recent ad against Mary Landrieu, who is seeking re-election, is simply entitled “Mary Landrieu is Not Helping Blacks”. In it, Guillory reminds the voters of Louisiana just how little Landrieu and her policies have done for the people of the state. The video features graphic scenes from blighted areas, underperforming schools, and overcrowded prison systems working against the black community. Guillory’s no-nonsense approach is daunting, and while like any politician he is not perfect, he is at least refreshingly honest.
