Chamber of Commerce Trying to Punish Common Core Opponents

Common Core fighters across the U.S.A, we need you now! The pro-Common Core lobbyists are trying to end the political career of the lead Senate author of the Oklahoma repeal bill and we just cannot let that happen. Once again, grassroots will have to fight the monster lobbyists and billionaire oligarchists to retain control over our own children’s education. Politics 101: They are playing hardball. If they get away with this, they can make it that much more difficult for legislators in the rest of the states.
Senator Josh Brecheen broke ranks with Committee leaders in his own party, lobbyists and special interests, stood in the face of the “Almighty” Chamber of Commerce and got the bill moving that repealed Common Core in Oklahoma. We would not have had our victory if it weren’t for Josh’s courage and statesmanship. His ending debate was brilliant: “Common Core is a grand experiment…” and ending with a shocking reading from The Bluest Eye.
The Oklahoma repeal bill is the most effective bill to repeal Common Core in the nation so far, so now in a heated election season the State Chamber and their Common Core-pushing buddies have decided to make the good Senator pay. They have endorsed Brecheen’s opponent even though Brecheen’s record is stellar in creating business in Oklahoma.
This comment is from the McCarville report:
“October 7, 2014 – 6:09 PM According to the REID webpage, Research Institute for Economic Development, a task force made up Chamber members “evaluates the extent to which individual Oklahoma legislators act to advance business interests through their service in the legislature.” Since Senator Josh Brecheen’s cumulative REID score was 90%, then clearly he is business friendly and should be endorsed by the Chamber. This is a political move by the Chamber who backed Common Core and Senator Brecheen repealed it. And now every OK business-friendly person should shake Josh’s hand because their future employees will will be taught math in a way that is business-friendly. Oh, and thank-you, Senator Brecheen, for co-authoring the Worker’s Comp legislation and all your help on getting tort reform passed. I am sorry the Chamber is ungrateful for your efforts.”
It is time to band together and help Senator Brecheen fight for his Senate seat so he can continue to fight against Common Core and intrusive data collection, recommended smut in our schools, absurd AP History Standards and the rest that the educrats are bringing our way. Brecheen has earned our support through prayer, and grassroots funding, and if you are in his Senate district, Get Out The Vote! http://www.brecheenforsenate.com/about-josh/
