NEW Education Section’s Macey France: Leading the Charge on Common Core

When I first began researching Common Core in March 2013, I quickly became immersed in what it was, who was involved, what it meant for our children. Soon after I entered the movement to stop it.
Now, I am an education activist trying to slam the breaks on Common Core in my state, I conduct informational meetings and do interviews on radio, newspapers, and television.
Through extensive research, my colleagues and I have found many frightening things about the Common Core and what its nefarious purposes truly are about. My articles show everything from particular incidents at specific schools to the psychological manipulation and planned economy side of the Common Core. I scratch the surface and delve into the deeper layers in an effort to show everyone what we have found on the ugly underside of the Common Core beast’s belly.
In our new Education section on PolitiChicks, I am going to provide articles and information detailing the latest information about the Common Core fight in my state and all across the country.
In addition to Common Core, I will also provide information on the overall state of education, the progressive ideology that is being thrown into the classrooms, and the people behind the movement to take over education in our country.
On a personal level, fighting Common Core for over a year has definitely taken a toll. It is emotionally exhausting at times and it’s a hard way to learn the ropes of political plays when the last 11 years have been spent staying at home and caring for my two sons. As a stay at home mom, you can imagine that this kind of exposure was a big change and not something I ever would have imagined doing but something I have done willingly and whole heartedly, literally jumping head first into the battle. But nothing is more important than my children, and I see this fight as a worthy fight for the future of not only for my kids, but for all American children.
I could not continue if I didn’t see the ground swell of movement, dedication and raw emotion emanating from parents, grandparents, tax payers, and concerned citizens everywhere. The successful withdrawal from the Common Core in the states of Oklahoma and South Carolina recently are a big gust of wind in this activist’s sails.
Stay with me as I keep you up to date on all things Common Core and show what has been helpful to other activists in their fight against this education reform from some of the most powerful people in the world and in our very own government.
I promise to try to keep my sarcasm reined in.
