No Time To Visit The Border – Obama Heads To Martha’s Vineyard For Another Vacation
Right smack in the middle of a border crisis, President Obama will flee the White House and head on over to Martha’s Vineyard for another family vacation. Martha’s Vineyard seems to be a popular vacation spot for the Obama family as they have vacationed there every year of his presidency, except of course in 2012. Remember that in 2012, Obama was up for reelection, pleading to struggling American families as to why he needed another 4 years to “fix the mess” left to him by “Bush.” He couldn’t very well stop the blame- Bush dialog and head off for another lavish vacation, especially since he was pointing his finger at the out of touch, “rich” white man, Mitt Romney.
Over the past week, Obama has taken criticism from both parties for not taking a trip to the border and seeing first-hand the crisis regarding the influx of illegal’s crossing in to our country. After all, he was right there in Texas, taking the time for fundraising events which seem to have taken precedent over his solemn duty to protect not only the American people, but our borders as well. He just couldn’t take the time, claiming that, “There’s nothing that is taking place down there that I am not intimately aware of and briefed on.”
Well who could blame the President, after all? Why would he want to expose himself to not only the humanitarian crises in the detention centers, the overload on our border patrol agents and staff, and the many diseases .. especially when he is so close to another upcoming lavish vacation at beautiful Martha’s Vineyard?
The Obama’s will enjoy15 glorious days next month from August 9th through the 24th at a luxurious secluded home. This home features 7 bedrooms, 9 baths, 17 rooms total, 8100 square feet and sits on 10 acres. Other amenities that the Obama’s can enjoy are the tennis courts, basketball courts, an infinity pool, a hot tub and an indoor gym. The home apparently belongs to Joanne Hubschman, a Democratic donor, and is estimated to be worth $12 million. Of course, the President will enjoy some time at the golf course, as well as putting on his mom jeans for a bicycle ride with his daughters. It will be one of Obama’s longest vacations since becoming President and it’s no wonder why he just doesn’t have the time to fit in, a trip to the border.
Valerie Jarrett will also be accompanying the Obama’s on their vacation at Martha’s Vineyard. She is a regular summer resident of Oak Bluffs, which is also a town on the island. My guess is that Jarrett and Obama will get their daily briefing of the border situation while watching MSNBC on a quaint little couch, sipping on an ice cold brew, looking out the window of their luxury vacation home while enjoying a beautiful view of the Vineyard Sound. It is not yet known, exactly how much this will cost the struggling taxpayers. Most of America’s families can’t even afford a modest vacation right now. Yet the Obama’s continue the lifestyle of the rich and famous on the taxpayer dime. Ahhh… must be nice to be King.
