Following Oklahoma’s Lead: A Video to Help YOUR STATE Repeal Common Core!
Common Core fighters across the U.S. have seen “repeal bills” come and go, only to find that all the hard work is being undermined by national groups and the Governors who are publicly signing the bills for show. Has Oklahoma found the formula to really, truly repeal Common Core? Is the last episode of Common Core Nightmare on Elm Street really over for Oklahoma? Those in the fray cautiously think so, but will be keeping both eyes open!
Confirmed by the State Supreme Court, it appears that the bill Governor Fallin signed is the real deal. Oklahoma Representative Jason Nelson was the lead author of HB3399 (which you can find here: http://www.okhouse.gov/) to repeal and replace Common Core in Oklahoma. Nelson discusses the essence of the bill and the plans to move forward to higher standards for education.
