Criminals & Terrorists Run Rampant As Obama Calls For More Gun Restrictions On Americans
As we have already discovered, Mexican gang members, dangerous criminals, and drug cartels are flooding through the Southern border as violent Islamic terrorists are also on the rise all across the world. Anyone American citizen with an ounce of common sense would assume that, of the President Obama’s priorities, securing the Southern border and keeping terrorists ‘at bay’ would be at the very top of his list.
Instead, what does our president choose to focus on? You guessed it: disarming law-abiding Americans.
During a Tumblr broadcast last week, President Obama spoke about gun control, suggesting that the U.S. government should follow Australia’s example in dealing with shooting sprees (which involved strict gun bans on semiautomatic and automatic weapons, a gun buy-back program, a national registry, and licensing system).
President Obama told his audience of students, “Australia had a mass shooting [in 1996] similar to Columbine and Newtown, and just said, ‘That’s it, we’re not seeing that again,’ and basically imposed very severe tough gun laws and they haven’t had a mass shooting since.”
After all, in the president’s “fundamental transformation of America,” it must be ‘the gun’s fault’ that shooting sprees occur. It can’t ever possibly be evil in the human heart (well, unless of course, you are a Republican, an NRA member, a Bible-believing Christian, or a Tea Partier).
Speaking in a town hall meeting last Thursday, the president also rallied his gun-control supporters, suggesting that “if gun control measures are going to pass Congress, gun control advocates have to get as organized and well-financed as the National Rifle Association.”
Yep. Forget about all those violent criminals who are crossing into the U.S. through the Southern border. Forget about ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham) and other terrorist organizations who hell-bent on killing Americans and destroying the U.S. President Obama seems to be more concerned about the NRA and all the ‘Bubba’s’ out there instead.
President Obama isn’t threatened by those five dangerous Taliban leaders he just released from GITMO this past month. The president isn’t even threatened by the 68,000 convicted criminal immigrants (many of them violent criminals) his administration released inside the U.S. last year.
Nope. The president appears to be more threatened by American citizens who still believe that the right to keep and bear arms is a natural, civil, and Constitutionally protected right.
Thankfully, our Second Amendment not only protects American citizens from dangerous criminals and violent terrorists who want harm us, but it also protects us from tyrannical governments who attempt to disarm us.
