When Will Anyone Require Obama To Abide By The Constitution?

Almost from the beginning of his presidency, Barack Obama has evaded, avoided, and literally violated the mandate of the Constitution of the United States which he swore an oath to preserve, protect and defend. The list of transgressions is unending, but the politicians in Washington D.C. refuse to do their duty, uphold their own oaths taken upon entering office.

There is a crisis going on at the Texas-Mexico border right now. It is being portrayed as a “humanitarian crisis” supposedly because it involves children of nations to our South coming across the border by the thousands, a recent photo depicts truckloads. The Border Patrol is being overwhelmed, the Dept. of Homeland Security is warehousing these children on military bases nearby, now word that they are being flown to bases in other states, Massachusetts and Maine to name but two. They are all being referred to as “illegal immigrants” by politicians, by news media, by those who write commentary on social media.

These children are not, in fact, “illegal immigrants,” this is not a matter of a few hundred Mexican citizens paying the coyotes and getting some assistance to sneak across our southern border in various spots. This crisis is an invasion pure and simple – when will Gov. Rick Perry demand the President of the United States comply with the U.S. Constitution?

Article IV, Section 4 (emphasis mine):

The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence. 

I recognize they are children many very young, some requiring the Border Patrol to change diapers. I recognize the level of compassion the photos draw, in part why they have been used so. The children are being abused, physically, sexually, some are being sold into slavery. But compassion is not the answer to this crisis. Once again, it is time for this president to come off the golf links and do the job his oath requires of him.
