U.S. Troops’ Blood & Sacrifice Wiped Out By Obama as Iraq Explodes

PolitiChicks.comBeginning of speech by Senator Barack Obama 2007:  What I am opposed to is a dumb war. What I am opposed to is a rash war. What I am opposed to is the cynical attempt by … weekend warriors in this administration to shove their own ideological agendas down our throats, irrespective of the costs in lives lost and in hardships borne.”

End of same speech by Senator Barack Obama 2007:  We may have occasion in our lifetime to once again rise up in defense of our freedom, and pay the wages of war. But we ought not — we will not — travel down that hellish path blindly. Nor should we allow those who would march off and pay the ultimate sacrifice, who would prove the full measure of devotion with their blood, to make such an awful sacrifice in vain.”

More than one article could be filled with quotes from so many who opposed the war in Iraq, yet who have willingly allowed Obama to do nothing but wage war, support terrorists and allowed their own ideologies to influence the disastrous outcome of not only the Iraq war, but of Afghanistan as well.

For someone who won a Nobel Peace Prize before he’d even taken office, Obama and his administration have implemented the most destructive foreign policies, massively mismanaged the wars, manipulatively intruded into sovereign nations’ political systems and leadership, played with red crayons, all as he steps back to watch the chaos.

How many thousands of people in the middle east and north Africa have been killed, persecuted, forced to leave their homes and been caught in more wars, because of the actions and ideological meddling of the Obama administration? How many of our precious Special Operations forces, soldiers, Marines, Sea men and Air men have been lost, and how many more will die because of this administration and those in both houses who have for political reasons allowed such reckless, dangerous and un Constitutional leadership continue?

Back in 2007, Obama announced a senate bill, “The Iraq War De-escalation Act of 2007,” which was aimed at cutting the Bush administration’s escalation of the war in Iraq and mandating a “phased redeployment” of American forces to commence by May 2007 and end by March 2008.

Obama’s press release announcing the bill claimed that his “phased redeployment” will continue “protecting our interests in the region, and bringing this war to a responsible end.” He promised a “comprehensive regional and international diplomatic initiative—that includes key nations in the region—to help achieve a political settlement among the Iraqi people, end the civil war in Iraq, and prevent a humanitarian catastrophe and regional conflict.

Two years later, on February 27, 2009 Obama said the U.S. combat mission in Iraq would end in August 2010 and he would withdraw all U.S. troops by December 2011. On October 21, 2011 he announced his plan to withdraw remaining troops from Iraq by year’s end, after the failure of negotiations with Iraq to keep thousands of U.S. troops on as trainers. He proclaimed to the world, “Today I can report that, as promised, the rest of our troops in Iraq will come home by the end of the year. After nearly nine years, America’s war in Iraq will be over… The last American soldier will cross the border out of Iraq with their head held high, proud of their service.

I reported numerous times last year that ever since Obama proclaimed that Al Qaida was on the run, decimated, and on the path to defeat, we have seen their black flags in Syria, Egypt, Sinai and Lebanon, and the flag had been flying in Iraq as Al Qaida re took the city of Fallujah. I wrote about Al Qaida and other insurgent groups fighting in Syria, and of Iraqi Sunnis who were fighting with the ‘rebels’ against Abbas in Syria. I wrote about the possibility of Iranian Shia leaders sending aid to Iraqi Shia led government forces. I’ve been warning that the so-called civil war in Syria would spill over, and with Obama’s meddling in the Middle East and Muslim African nations, arming groups who include Al Qaida and other terrorists, that this would heat up into larger war, a Sunni vs. Shia war as the each tries to establish their version of a Middle East/African caliphate.

I’m not bringing that all up now because I think I’m smart- -I’m bringing it up because I’m an ordinary person with not one bit of military leadership or skills, don’t have any knowledge of how the Pentagon, Department of Defense or war planning is done.  Yet if someone like me saw the writing on the wall, how is it that our government sat back to watch it happen?

Nearly 100 U.S. Marines were killed and hundreds wounded in a battle 10 years ago in one Iraqi city, which they liberated for the Iraqi people. The reason for the first battle of Fallujah in the words of a Marine who was there, “I remember the photos of the contractors hung on the bridge, burned, and beaten. I saw a video back then of what they did, we all did. They were animals.”

Over 4,483 Americans gave their lives and many more were injured during the Iraqi war. Hundreds of thousands of people had their homes destroyed, lost their lives, their livelihoods, and trusted American troops, and the American people to help them. Our troops did their part.

What is happening now in Iraq proves that Obama and his administrations have betrayed our troops, betrayed those who gave their lives, and they have betrayed the Iraqi people.

On the 12th of this month, Obama said  Iraq will “need more help from the United States” as it tries to push back the violent Islamic terrorist group ISSA that has captured Mosul, Fallujah and Ramadi and now is almost to Bagdad. He didn’t specify what type of assistance the US would offer, but said he had not ruled out any options. “We do have a stake in making sure that these jihadists are not getting a permanent foothold in either Iraq or Syria, for that matter,” Obama said during an Oval Office meeting with Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott.

What Obama doesn’t say out loud is that they already have- thanks in large part because he armed them, allowed them to fester and regain strength.

Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki and other Iraqi leaders have pleaded with the Obama administration for more than a year for additional help with the growing insurgency, which many of us have been reporting about since. Terrorists who were armed by the Obama administration have been fighting in Syria and northern Iraq has become a doorway for insurgents who travel back and forth between the two countries and are throwing fuel on the fires of the Syrian war’s violence in Iraq.

Now it seems as Obama is going to do what he’s been doing in every mess he’s created- step back and watch the action as he tells Iraq, “Solve your own problems”. And now we can sit back and watch too as ISIS Releases Statement: Tragedies Will Befall You. I’m sure John “I served in Vietnam” Kerry will just pooh pooh this as more propaganda, so it’s ok right? You know things have got to be going just fine when even Iran offers the US some help. Don’t be too quick to think that’s a good thing, as PolitiChick writer Lainie Sloane reported of the Persian Caliphate in her latest article.

News has been pouring in multiple times daily about worsening conditions in Iraq, not just for the Iraqis but also for foreigners. The latest news out by World Net Daily reports that 200 American contractors were trapped by the al-Qaida-inspired jihadists who have seized control of two cities and are now threatening Baghdad. A contractor who talked to WND’s Jerome Corsi by Skype said 300 contractors in total have been evacuated from Balad, about 60 miles north of Baghdad, and another 100 are still awaiting airlift. He said the Iraqi Air Force is trying to evacuate everyone by midnight local time. WND also reported earlier about US contractors who had returned to the U.S. from Iraq who said their former colleagues effectively had been abandoned by the U.S. military and were fighting for their lives against an army of jihadists surrounding the base who belong to the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria, or ISIS. I know I’m not the only one who read this story with thoughts of Benghazi on steroids.

Time will tell how things are going to go in Iraq within the next few days and months. Already those areas taken by the terrorists have turned into Sharia enclaves, with their list of rules including “repent or die”, have ordered all Muslims to attend mosque five times a day, and demanded women remain indoors unless absolutely necessary.

Our boys gave their lives so all of this could happen? No, they gave their lives to free Iraqis from a murderous dictator. Obama has allowed this to fester, and has armed these same men who have retaken every bit of ground our troops paid for.

As the end of Afghanistan and the drawdown of our involvement comes amid terrorists being freed, one can’t help but believe that if and/or when our troops come home, the same thing will happen there as it is in Iraq. Obama and our government have armed Islamic terrorists who call themselves Freedom Fighters. These same fighters are now in Iraq, these same are all over the Middle East, the same who our military has been fighting. Obama and his administration released 5 high risk terrorists back into the field. He has gutted our military, he has disregarded their safety, and he has over extended our Special Forces. He has used our military without support of our Congress knowing full well that Islam is the ideology we’ve been at war with. He has promised our forces will be cut down to less than 10,000 before next year after the draw down- just as he promised for Iraq before declaring the war over. He has declared the Afghanistan war over, and will abandon them to the same terrorists our guys have been dying to protect innocent Afghanis from. Afghani’s who trusted us… Just like the Iraqis did.

One little problem with that:  Barack Obama may have declared the Iraq war to be over, but the Islamic terrorists did not.  To them, their war has just begun.
