Representatives Vote For Their Will and Not That of The People

In the state of South Carolina, state representatives gave themselves a pay raise and increased their pensions today despite Governor Nikki Haley vetoing the measure earlier this month. In the climate of today’s economy where the average citizen faces pay cuts, job losses and combined increasing cost of living expenses, a voter would expect their representative to also have to live within the budget? Not so in South Carolina.

Here is the list of representatives (both Democrats and Republicans) who apparently don’t believe they have to set an example to their constituents and either abstained for voting or voted “yes” to their raises.
