Oklahoma: One Common Core State Down, Many Others To Go!

PolitiChicksA few days ago I ran into a teacher today in the parking lot of the grocery store.  She said, “Thank you for stopping Common Core.”  I am so humbled with every thank you.  We can only pass those thanks along to the many, MANY people who prayed, called sent emails, did research, published and reposted articles, Congressmen that went behind the scenes to change the conversation, and Senators and Representatives that put it all on the line for us… the list goes on forever.  And of course we will still be watching like hawks for the next eruption, but the national education crowd most certainly had a setback!

So thank you, U.S.A. patriots.  Thank you for every thing you all did.

The administrator of Stop Common Core in Oklahoma FB page, Don Krumme, kept us in stitches with his memes and is always willing to just stop whatever he is doing to pitch in and help posted this today, and I want to pass it on to our PolitiChics and The Five (Fans) audience to be sure our heart-felt thanks gets out to as many as possible and to just a reminder that we are all in this together!

Don Krumme:  As the nationwide groundswell to repeal Common Core continues to grow and gain momentum, let’s unite, share our resources and intel, and help each other with strategy to finish Common Core off for good.

If you were able to help Oklahoma by contacting our governor, please take a moment and sign this “guest register”, and tell us what part of the country you are located in, and how you helped. Together we can help each other lift this monstrosity called Common Core off our backs and let parents have a continuing part in helping their children develop their true talents, not what Arne Duncan, David Coleman, and Bill Gates think is best.
