How Obama’s Negotiation With Terrorists Sweetens Deal With Iran
Back to this trade, because of Obama’s actions, not just in this case, our troops and special operations forces have been in more danger, and have been deadly. How many more will be targets now, not just by those who have been fighting, but these latest most dangerous commanders who never should have been released? The point of war is to defeat the enemy. Our troops have obeyed to rules that these people will never adhere to and these men were caught and detained during this war for a reason, to keep them from doing more harm and killing more innocent people. What possible good can come of their release?
I know it’s good for Bowe Bergdahl and his parents. Speaking of Mr. Bergdahl, the internet has been going crazy posting some of his tweets, including the one which has since been removed to ABalkhi, which is the Twitter handle of Abdulqahar Balkhi, a Taliban spokesman:
Other tweets he had sent out or retweeted includes many from a website called Voice of Jihad, Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, both the English and Arabic sites. It was reported back in 2012 that Mr. Bergdahl, who had been frustrated with negotiations which had failed to free his son, decided to learn Pashto so he could contact militants directly. According to the NBC article, Bob Bergdahl told the a Reuters reporter that swapping Taliban prisoners at Guantanamo for his son represents a “win-win” for the United States and that the United States could foster good will with the Afghan people.
As a parent, I can understand the need to do anything possible to protect and get a child back from brutal captivity, but I would also think of other sons who were still in harm’s way. Releasing these terrorists is not a win/win for our troops still there, and the actions of Bowe which led to his being taken have been deadly to other’s sons. Bergdahl’s above tweet could have meant to somehow imply sympathy because he was desperate to get his son back, however praying in Islamic for God to repay whom, for the deaths of Afghani children? More death and suffering have come from the hands of the Taliban and other Islamic terrorists.
Reading Islamic propaganda for years seems to suggest maybe Mr. Bergdahl has either brought about a case of Stockholm Syndrome or he really has converted to Islam and believe as his son who claimed to have said, that he is ‘ashamed to even be American’.
So now we have more terrorists set free because of the actions of one soldier who never kept the soldier’s creed, yet US Marine Andrew Tahmoressi remains in a jail cell in Mexico. Who are we going to trade for him?
