Delay, Divert, Deny—How the Obama Administration Handles Scandals

Press Secretary Jay Carney probably saw the writing on the wall and jumped ship before it was too late. He was starting to look a little green anyway every time he faced the reporters with the Obamacare lies. I think the VA was finally the straw that broke the camel’s back; there was no way to spin out of it. On his way out he now has to justify the release of five of the most dangerous Gitmo detainees in return for the release of Army Sgt Bowe Bergdahl. It remains to be seen whether or not he is a hero or a traitor but the timing is suspect and once again it was all done in the dark of night without any input from Congress. My guess is that the administration was drowning in the VA scandal and needed a diversion to change the narrative.
Some of the American people have caught on to the playbook that this administration is reading from and they aren’t buying it anymore. When the average Joe on the street sees Obama on TV and knows what he is going to say before he even says it, you know they are in deep trouble. It will be interesting to see whether or not the Dems and the media keep up the pressure on the VA story and don’t consider it settled now that Shinseki is gone, and it will be very interesting to see if anyone does anything about the release of the five terrorists. If they drop the ball on this one then I for one am….”D” for done!
