Sometimes You Need a Little Snark

Screen Shot 2014-05-27 at 8.34.25 AMThe website Watcher of Weasels has an entertaining little thing they do every week called the “Watcher’s Council. A collection of sites (including Trevor Loudon’s New Zeal) nominate articles from their group and vote on the best ones. They also nominate from outside sources and have “Non-Council Winners.” It’s a simple way to find some of the best conservative content online.

One of the May 23rd winners is so spot on I have to share it. “19 Nifty Ways to End Free Speech in America” is by Sara Noble of The Independent Sentinel. If you look up the word “snark” on the Merriam-Webster website, this article should be featured there! It’s chock full of outrageous things you might have forgot about and put into a new context.

Here’s the sixth Nifty Way to End Free Speech in America:

“Another move I’d make is to shut down dissenting media such as Fox News and Talk Radio. I might put through The Hate Crime Reporting Act of 2014 so I can monitor and bully the media or I might conduct a Critical Information Needs Study (CIN) and use that to shut down stations or require them to give equal time to liberal viewpoints while not demanding the same of liberal networks.”
