Guess Who Pelosi is Blaming for VA Scandal?

Screen Shot 2014-05-24 at 10.23.20 AMYou really didn’t think the Democrats were ready to let President George W Bush retire yet, did you? I mean, the way that they constantly drag him into almost every pressing issue in their administration, makes us wonder if he isn’t getting dressed up for work and showing up to make all of their bad decisions for them. Every single failure from Obama and team somehow leaves a trail right back to W … as if he never ever left.
Not surprisingly, the “blame Bush” continues, after almost 5 years into Obama’s presidency. For awhile there, it seemed that W got a little bit of a reprieve. For a short period, Democrats set their sights on Congress. When you hit their pages, the echoes consisted of “It’s Congress’s fault!! ” However, Bush is once again being pulled out of retirement in order to take the fall on the current VA scandal.
Pelosi responds, “Maybe when we go into war, we should be thinking about it consequences and its ramifications. – You would think that would be a given, but maybe it wasn’t. And so, we go in a war in Afghanistan, leave Afghanistan for Iraq with unfinished business in Afghanistan. Ten years later, we have all of these additional veterans. In the past 5 years, two million more veterans needing benefits from the VA. That’s a huge, huge increase.”
Excuse me Ms Pelosi, but you guys ran on the assumption that you could “fix the mess” created by George W Bush. However, George W Bush enjoyed a thriving economy with low unemployment for 6 of his 8 years in office with the last 2 years of his 2nd term showing the beginning of stress. Those last 2 years happen to coincide with the Democrat’s takeover of the House and the Senate. You didn’t run on a blame Bush platform. You asked the American people to HIRE you, all along campaigning that if you all get elected, that you will bring us Hope and Change. Not once did you campaign on the terms that if you “can’t” fix anything, then you will shift the blame back to the man who gracefully left office and went into retirement.
Frankly, I’m tired of it. You belong to the party of blame and excuses. Your initial reaction to this horrific incident is quite disturbing at best. Should your initial reaction to the horrific treatment, given to America’s most sacred heroes, have been that of outrage? The rest of us are outraged – disgusted and sad. Wouldn’t you want to really find out what happened.. what went wrong? What could you do to fix it? Did these questions ever occur to you, or were you just eager to figure out a way to cover your butts?  You may once again weasel your way out of yet another scandal. Your supporters have learned well, pointing their fingers at Bush. But if you know anything at all about President Bush, you know that he not only loved the military while serving as Commander in Chief, he respected them too. STOP pointing fingers and start taking some responsibility. We are tired of the empty promise to “get to the bottom of this.” Hold someone accountable.  These are our bravest Americans who fought the battles of freedom.  They deserve our respect. They have earned it.
