Bureau of Land Management Brokers Deal at Bundy Ranch

Amid rumors of militias moving in, no-fly zones, and legal weapons being confiscated from law-abiding citizens, KLAS Las Vegas is reporting that Clark County Sheriff Doug Gillespie has brokered a deal between rancher Clive Bundy and his supporters and the Bureau of Land Management.
“Sources tell the I-Team that Sheriff Gillespie has negotiated a potential agreement in which the BLM would halt its roundup of Bundy’s cattle and withdraw its employees from the Gold Butte area.
The BLM wants to proceed with the sale of the cattle already gathered during the roundup but is reportedly willing to share the revenue from the sale with Bundy.”
Fox News is reporting that the BLM is pulling out over concerns about safety.
Not everyone agrees that they are pulling out for that reason. BizPac Review reports:
“Amid the growing standoff between Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy and the federal government, reports are growing that Senate Majority Harry Reid’s little-known ties to a Chinese solar energy giant could be playing a major role in the confrontation.”
Is it possible that this whole standoff and bullying of ranchers is about politicians getting rich off their connections and their power to determine how public lands are used? Let’s keep watching, folks.
