Far From a Home Run, Hank Plays the Race Card

Liberals have decided it seems that 2014 is so bleak in the prospect of holding on to the Senate and gaining the House they have resorted to the tactics used in the 2012 elections. That means voter ID suppression claims, race card and the faux “war on women” mantra are ramping up to measures not seen before.
For example, this week our Attorney General Eric Holder spoke in front of the Al Sharpton group Nation Action Network and touted because of his race and that of President Obama, the GOP has treated them so poorly that no one in history in these positions of power has seen similar treatment. I guess they forgot how on the Senate floor and during aired television interviews Harry Reid would call then President Bush a liar and a loser. Or how about then Attorney General Alberto Gonzales was berated in House hearings and asked to step down by then Senator Obama who touted Gonzales was not the “people’s attorney” but the “president’s attorney”. Seems as though his words are now another example of hypocrisy since AG Holder fails to even uphold laws in place (ie: immigration and voter ID).
Adding to the liberal rhetoric Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi implies that the GOP is using race to not bring forward an immigration bill. We all understand the ONLY reason the Democrats want an amnesty bill is to secure more votes for the 2016 Presidential run. Let’s talk about securing our borders first and enforce the laws in place. Since Attorney General Holder will not comply with enforcing the laws already on the books, what possible outcome would there be for the American people but more voters for the Democrats and less law enforcement by the number one law enforcement officer.
Finally for those of us who were old enough to remember the career of Hank Aaron, this week the Home Run King decided to disappoint many of us with his statement implying that those who criticize the President are doing so simply because of his race. Aaron touts, “The bigger difference is that back then they had hoods. Now they have neckties and starched shirts”. News flash for everyone: Hank Aaron once owned a Jaguar/Land Rover dealership in Augusta, Georgia. I’m sure the mention of his views would not have bided so well to buyers who may have been white and happened to wear starched white shirts. By the way, Aaron wore a starched white shirt while being photographed while making that speech about starched white shirts…A little ironic (or hypocritical), don’t you think?
