Falling on our Swords

We Conservatives react with stunned amazement and utter frustration when the likes of Sheila “freed slave” Jackson Lee, Maxine “socialize the oil industry” Waters, Barbara “Senator, not ma’am” Boxer, Harry “why would we help a child with cancer” Reid, Nancy “pass it to see what’s in it” Pelosi, Alan “wife abuser” Grayson, Barack “destroyer of America” Obama and so many other destructive insaniacs are elected and reelected. The entire House of Representatives is up for reelection every 2 years, so why are we not “cleaning House”? Having pondered this, here is my conclusion: It is not because of the people who do vote; it is because of the people who do not vote. If the 6 million conservatives who refused to vote in the last Presidential election had voted, Obama would not be our President today.
As a conservative who fiercely believes in and defends our Constitution, I am in great disagreement with the GOP on many issues and dissatisfied with the candidates they put before us such as McCain, Romney, and Christie. Even so, the worst Republican is preferable to any Democrat. Ann Coulter said it best: “There are some bad Republicans, but there are no good Democrats”.
Remember–because people refused to vote for Mitt Romney, we can thank Democrats for Obamacare.
Our personal and constant involvement and interaction with our Congressmen is essential; we cannot afford to miss any local town hall meetings or to sit out elections. In addition, in between elections we must encourage and support Conservative candidates with our time and money. We do not have the luxury of being tired or discouraged.
It is imperative that We the People stand and vote together even when we do not have the candidate we would prefer. We must do what the Democrats do: they accept every victory no matter how small, embrace it, and go for more.
Refusing to vote does not make one principled, it makes one a loser; worse, it makes America a loser. One who falls on his own sword is not a hero; he is just dead.
