Not a smidgeon of scandal but I’m still pleading the 5th!

In the March 5 House Oversight and Government Reform Committee meeting with chairman Rep. Darrell Issa, embattled former IRS official Lois Lerner once again pleaded the 5th amendment right to not incriminate herself. If there is no scandal as the President touted, “not even a smidgen”, then why invoke your right to remain silent for fear of incrimination?
After the hearing was closed by Chairman Issa, Rep. Elijah Cummings took the opportunity to grandstand for his liberal media pundits at MSNBC (they need something to chew on for the next week) and tout how the hearings are “a farce” and “waste of time”. Of course this is the same man who called the Tea Party racist but gave no facts to back up his claims. It is clear that the IRS scandal will never be exposed fully and no one will be held accountable for their actions. To this day, the IRS has yet to approve 501 c (3) statuses for the majority of Tea Party groups who applied some 3 or 4 years ago. It is fitting to note that Media Matters, a liberal non-profit that makes their intent to attack conservatives and Fox News known, not only received their status as a non-profit for educational purposes, but still holds that status to this day with no scrutiny.
